The National Weather Service which has provided us the MM5 data over the years, recently pulled the plug on the data.
Here is the response I received from NCEP/NWS regarding the MM5 data. I will continue to pursue options of obtaining
the data from the Air Force.

The Air Force (AFWA) is no longer making these data available to NCEP.  In the past NCEP had used these as an operational backup for our NAM (Eta) model.  Now that we have a fully redundant computer system outside of the DC area, we have not had the need to use these data.  AFWA chose to cease the production of these data last week so that they could use their resources for other priorities they have.
